COAST GUARD POLICY REQUIRES THE WEARING OF MUSTANG SURVIVAL COVERALLS WHEN THE WATER TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 60 DEGREES.

BUT WHEN THE WATER TEMPERATURE DROPS BELOW 50 DEGREES COLD WEATHER DRY SUITS, THERMAL UNDERWEAR "BUNNY SUITS", GLOVES, BOOTS, & BALACLAVA (INSULATED HEADGEAR) ARE REQUIRED.

DRY SUIT TRAINING & TESTING IS REQUIRED ANNUALLY FOR ALL COAST GUARD, RESERVE, & AUXILIARY MEMBERS BEFORE CONDUCTING COLD WEATHER PATROLS.
