FLOTILLA 33 BEGINS SCHEDULE OF 12 DECEMBER ROCKFISH SEASON SAFETY PATROLS ON 01DEC11

DURING DECEMBER FLOTILLA 33 OPERATIONAL FACILITIES SCHEDULED 12 SAFETY PATROLS FOR THE PEAK OF ROCKFISH SEASON. THE PATROLS WERE TO MAKE ASSISTANCE MORE ACCESSIBLE & QUICKER WITH THE WATER TEMPERATURES ON THE DECLINE. ON MANY OF THE PATROLS HUNDREDS OF BOATS WERE OBSERVED ENJOYING THE SEARCH FOR ROCKFISH.

JIM LINDAHL (L) & DON GALLAGHER (R) AT THE HELM OF AUX 27137 ON 17DEC11. WITH LOCAL WATER TEMPERATURES BELOW 50 DEGREES THE COAST GUARD & AUXILIARY CREWS SWITCH TO THE REQUIRED DRY SUITS & COLD WATER BOOTS.
