AUX 22906 APPEARS OUT OF THE FOG FOR 2-BOAT TRAINING WITH AUX 27137. TED TULIS (L) PREPARES THE FENDERS, FRANS KASTEEL (R) IS AT THE HELM.

AFTER THE 2-BOAT EXERCISES WITH AUX 22906, AUX 27137 SET A COURSE DOWN THE RAPPAHANNOCK RIVER TO PRACTICE REDUCED VISIBILITY NAVIGATION. PILOTING BY GPS, USING RADAR TO IDENTIFY & LOCATE NEARBY BOATS.

 THE REDUCED VISIBILITY SOUND SIGNAL FOR A POWER BOAT MAKING WAY THROUGH THE WATER (ONE PROLONGED BLAST EVERY TWO MINUTES) WAS ACTIVATED.

(L TO R): JIM MAGUIRE, BRIAN MCARDLE, & DON GALLAGHER TRY TO LOCATE A VESSEL IDENTIFIED ON RADAR.

THE NORRIS BRIDGE OVER THE RAPPAHANNOCK RIVER BARELY VISIBLE THROUGH THE FOG.

THE FOG BEGINS TO BURN OFF AS AUX 27137 PASSES UNDER THE NORRIS BRIDGE.
